I've given this thread a generalised heading for ease of recall.

Any useful links to information resources that will show up on a 'search'...

    PV systems... http://www.eco-logicbooks.com/index.cfm?fa=book_details&book_id=598&affiliate_id=18

Anyone actually read it and formed an opinion?

It's also available cheaper on Amazon... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Practical-Photovoltaics-Electricity-Solar-Cells/dp/093794811X

Had hoped there'd be some reviews on Amazon, but sadly not.

Hundreds, I have more books than music/DVDs. I cannot throw a book away, I can sell it, give it away, use them as door stops, re-read them (have a favourite that I read about every 2 years). I have to avoid going into second hand book shops, or I have to not eat for a week. I have books on Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Architecture, Cars, Boats, Planes, Religion, Ethics, Building, Environment, Botany, Space, Wiring, Mechanical Engineering (all engineering really), stories, antiques, but do you know what gets me, people comment on my bookshelves, I knocked then up out of MDF one morning when i moved in as was fed up tripping over the books.
I have the file server on the top shelf

ps. There may be a bookmark in there somewhere.

There was an article in last week's Sunday Times about that, Brian. 95% efficiency claimed by the company on the basis of the results of testing by Imperial College.

(I've also opened a discussion thread to avoid this thread's main aim being overwhelmed by what I'm sure will be a massive response.) :rolling:

Not looked recently, but it is one of my favourite sites, are we still cheap?

Actually have just looked at we are 5th bottom of list on Gas Prices (a very bad thing) and about midway on Electric.
But the interesting thing is to look at the price and who is above and below us.
  8.
Yes , and those States with cheaper gas/electric it only slightly , where as many much higher
Many complain of rising domestic fuel cost seem unaware what other have to pay in the EU.

Energy consumption in the United Kingdom
    http://www.decc.gov.uk/en/content/cms/statistics/publications/ecuk/ecuk.aspx
Energy consumption in the United Kingdom document was a publication that looked at the trends in energy consumption in the United Kingdom. Data have been published annually since the late 1990s.

Statistics are brought together from a variety of sources to provide a comprehensive review of energy consumption and changes in efficiency, intensity and output since the 1970s, with a particular focus on trends since 1990.
