We are commencing the renovation of an Victorian era building which has solid 9 inch walls 22 feet high, which support the static and dynamic first floor loads, the static roof load plus wind loading etc..
We are considering using Foamglass Perinsul inserted into the full width of the brickwork in all external and internal load bearing walls to provide an damproof coarse and a thermal break.
Does any forum member have experience/advice of this type of work.

Are you doing wall insulation? Otherwise what is the thermal break doing?

Rising damp is in my opinion a myth and lime pointing will keep the wall dry and free of problems of condensation.
