an20ew put me on to the PAW DrainBloc solar station for drainback systems. It has everything you need to connect a standard solar coil in a domestic hot water tank to drainback collectors. However, what is not clear from the installation guide is whether it is capable of controlling a changeover valve which connects to a secondary thermal store when the domestic hot water tank is fully charged. Is anyone able to throw any light on this? Is the SC2.8-DBC solar controller user guide available online?

Short answer is yes it can. Because we have done it on ours.

Using the relay 2 setting to come in at a given temp. And send 100% of a signal to a valve to simple switch it to the other tank.

Or at given temp relay 2 can supply a controlled power to a second pump to send heat away in a more controlled manet( can't see the need but there go nothing is ever simple)
    Excellent. Thanks for the info.
