Hello, I've just found this forum and joined after a couple of days lurking as a guest. What a great forum!
I've been renovating an old 50s/ 70/s bungalow (which is off the gas grid) for the last couple of years and wish I'd found the forum sooner!
I'm keen to improve the propertys efficiency so will be posting in the relevant sections about heating and insulation etc. I've just finished an overhaul of the heating system invovling fitment of thermal store and multifuel stove which was a complete nightmare due to the incompetency of the installers and stove manufacturers so will be asking for a bit of advice there too.
    David

Ay oop is the correct term (north-south jokery hasn't been classified as racism yet ... has it? Jewish, coloured - yes, Irish - borderline , Welsh Scots and Northern - not yet?)

Eh up? is deffinitely the correct term:bigsmile:
Jonti, I've put a post in the heating section with a bit of a description of my heating system if thats what you mean by the off gas grid bit.
I've had a complete shocker with it due to the installer and stove manufacturers gross incompetence however I've ripped a good chunk of it out and started again and it's now starting to do what i hoped it would 2 years ago.

Just down the road, Ingleby Greenhow near Stokesley. I used to visit Yorkshire Rally Spares in Malton quite regularly during the miss spent days of my youth, Heshing down the 1257 on an evening in a MK2 escort

I had a MK2 escort during my younger days. Loved it in the summer when I got it but then it snowed:sad: and I had to put quite a bit of weight in the boot to get any grip, bummer:tongue: Oh happy days.

I will have a look at the other thread thanks.
