I'm looking for some board cutting software. It makes sense to make the best use of ones materials from a green point of view! But so far I've failed to find anyhing. Can anyone help?

Not sure what you mean Richy. Do you mean software that will calculate how best to set out a cutting list on sheet materials like plywood or plasterboard to reduce wasteful cutting?

Yes, put it this way, If I'm making kitchen furniture using mdf or plywood and I have a cutting list of say 50 components, then I would like software that converts those sizes into the most economic use of standard 8 x 4 sheets.

Richy, try a search for "nesting" software, presumably you'll be able to output in dxf format?

Autocad saves as *.dwg, *.dxf is to drawing what *.txt is word processing, if you've got Autocad you'll probably be able to hunt around for an addin, good luck
