I'm considering buying the Trada book 'Timber Frame Construction (5th Edition), as I'm considering self building my timber framed house. Is the book worth £60? It sounds expensive!

i have this book and as a joiner it it well worth it and has been my bedtime reading for months now.
It will give you enough info to be able to quiz your timber frame company about the build and also lots of details regarding cladding etc.

    Well worth a read.
