    yes insulate it would be my advice

    Agree with Tony. 20+ years ago it was the form *not* to, but it's a big cold bridge. I have recently re-IWI'd my front room, in part for that reason.

    I have had several problems with not being done and being called in to sort them out retrospectively, the vertical cold bridge is difficult to deal with.
