    A few people (Shevek amongst them) put up their plumbing schematics a while back. The pdfs' don't seem to be downloadable anymore (is this a forum change problem?) - can you repost?

    plumbing-schematic.pdf and plumbing-schematic.zip are fine for me but plumbing-schematic2.zip looks like a zip [Edit: originally had 'PDF' there - typo] but doesn't seem to work:

    $ file plumbing-schematic2.zip
    plumbing-schematic2.zip: Zip archive data, at least v2.0 to extract

    $ unzip plumbing-schematic2.zip -d t
    Archive: plumbing-schematic2.zip

    a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
    latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
    the last disk(s) of this archive.
    unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of plumbing-schematic2.zip or
    plumbing-schematic2.zip.zip, and cannot find plumbing-schematic2.zip.ZIP, period.

    $ unzip -l plumbing-schematic.zip

    Should say 'mixed down', the temperature of water in UFH pipes should be a lot lower than in the system, be really the manifold has a secondary pump and uses a bypass to add mix UFH return with new hot to give low flow temperature supplying the floor radiant heating system.

    Isn't there a building regs requirement to have an 'anti-scald valve' (effectively a thermostatic mixer) on the hot supply to the bath? I'm wondering how to address that with a manifold system.

    :bigsmile: must be an issue with the forum software.

    Ah yes, I think you're right, although not sure if it applies to a refurb. I'll check it out tomorrow. All our new build schemes at work are fitted with a thermostatic bath mixer.
