I'm about to fit the windows in my new build timber frame house and was considering the best position within the opening to fit the frames. The manufacturer recommends a minimum distance from the front face of the house to the front face of the window is 25mm, but what is best? Should windows be set back further?

Posted By: gravelldHow well does flexifoam cope with the surfaces pulling away from each other? The YouTube video gives a great demo of how it copes with compression.

Soudal Flexifoam is absolutely cracking stuff. Using it to secure our 44mm wide 3G units direct into the stone mullions. Its very accurate using the gun type trigger allowing a beading of foam to be inserted from both sides resulting in a perfect seal. Takes approx 15 mins to form a holding skin and at least 2 hours before you can trim the excess effectively with a stanley knife.
