Hi JC, what sort of money are you looking for, per beam?
  1.
saw this advert and got excited, as ts is exactly what I have been looking for. Then I noticed the date... I assume the beams are long gone now? But I would be interested to know where you originally bought them. And if you know of anywhere in the UK where they can still be found. I'm told by Weyehauser (the manufacturer) that they no longer export to the UK. My email address is dan@danmorrish.co.uk. Or you could phone: 07967 34 32 31. With thanks

    Hi Dan,

Welcome, did you already consider, and dismiss, Glulam? I tried to get Parallam a couple of years ago without success, it does look good sanded and polished.
  2.
yes I did. Consider it. And reject it. It is specifically Parallam I'm looking for. Parallel Strand Lumber. Notable amongst composite boards chiefly for strands which are anything but parallel. Looks a bit like Vienetta Ice Cream, but with considerably greater structural integrity. It seems you can no longer place an order for this stuff anywhere in Europe, so I'm holding out for a miraculous discovery of some left over stock in someone's shed... somewhere...?

Sounds like a business opportunity for you as an importer. Was it the decorative aspect of parallam you were after.
