Does anyone know where I can source one of these from? this guys seems to have made his own which is well beyond my fabrication ability or knowledge. I have a small but powerful little stream which I want to conect up just like this guy.

I have a pelton turbine that I would be happy to sell but it will require about 10 litres per second with a minimum head of 25 metres. However if you have more water than that then the head can be lower.

Thanks Keith, let me get back to you. I have been very lazy about the water flow and head measurement - this is a bit of a lighthearted experiment - we are kicking off our renovation any time soon so that will take priority (been waiting 2 years for all the permissions etc.).

thanks Ali.gill - will read these. Have done a mass of research online but not actually found someone to sell me one. DIY seems the way to go. Also a few UKuniversities have projects looking at developing market pico-hydro. Maybe I can get one of them to knock me one up

Have you tried navitron? Low cost, all renewables, even including a wood pellet mill for £700. Also lots of useful relevant forums.
