Does anyone know if there is a problem with Buildhub because I haven't been able to access the forum?
  2.
    Seems to be ok now!

I see Buildhub is off line and has been most of today.

I understand that there is a very active discussion underway within their management group.

I doubt it! Give it a couple of days and see what the fallout is. Things may become clearer then.

Let’s hope it doesn’t go off line completely.

It would be a shame if all it’s user contributions were lost as happened with its previous incarnation, ebuild.

It would be a great shame if the forum and its resources were lost. I hope the management group sort their sh*t out and find a new way to move forward.

    Is buildhub still down?
  3.
Yes - at least if you try to access the site
  4.
The loss of BuildHub would be a great shame for many self-builders. If BuildHub does not continue then I might set up something similar for individuals, not professionals selling services, and with good moderation.  If you are interested, in what ever way, then please comment or message me.

    Count me in, Leonardo.

I agree that it would be a sad loss, indeed, since so many contributions were of an altruistic nature. It is a great shame that an incredibly greedy and venal minority ruined it and brought things to this difficult point. To have a replacement of some sort would be good.

I’ve been told it will be back, I assume after bit a spring clean.

Maybe a few apologies are in order to those who highlighted the problem and were ignored or worse!

There are new Ts&Cs if sign in, including this one

"Your registration is for personal use, and is not connected in any way to a business, or other commercial organisation"

Buildhub is back up and running 👍

Hoorah! Have not joined but I have enjoyed looking over the last few months. It'd be good to see some 'cross-fertilisation' between the 2 fora.

It's great to see BH back up and running. Ts & Cs have been updated including "No use of the forum for commercial purposes" I'm surprised that this wasn't a rule from day 1.

I thought it was a rule as well.
It's a good forum but don't under any circumstances use any contractor from there . Whether its for design or installation It won't end well for you.

It also says in the highlighted section .
"Overall the information we have received has been at best piecemeal and patchy, at times contradictory and in some cases untrue"
But I wouldn't be surprised if the group of 7 people who have had serious problems with the south wales company will mostly review their options and present a united front.
Hopefully then, the fmg will stop burying its head in the sand.

It says nothing unless you're behind the paywall/registration. So please discuss BH politics on BH, not here.
