I'm trying to maintain the flow and pressure of our water supply so that we don't need to get a tank and pump for our sprinkler system. However, all the MDPE fittings require an insert that narrows the bite considerably. Does anybody have an alternative suggestion to overcome it?

Melimatic Push-Loc fittings - no insert required.
Thanks Mike! They don't seem to make 32mm fittings. 25mm seems the largest.

The sprinkler company have suggested the following syopcock: Plasson Valve Model 23601
UK Code 236010032. However, I'm not sure how it connects.

I was recommended Philmac fittings years ago but I have no idea if they need an insert.

You should be able to get electrofusion (heat welding) fittings for 32mm, but it would be expensive to hire the kit (or a person) to make the joint. Though not as expensive as a tank and pump.
Plasson have told me it's possible to do it with the following fittings - looks like I have to go up a size:

Mains Stop Valve PA 1 1/4"
    Male Adaptor - 40 x 1 1/4"
    Female Adaptor - 32 x 1 1/4"
    Copper Adaptor 40 x 35mm
