The electricity board have agreed to temporarily dismount my supply from my internal wall (for free) and wait half an hour while I put some insulation behind it. This is to get rid of thermal bridging through the foundation in this under stair cupboard.

Does anyone know of a board I can through on the wall which can then take a screw to allow them to fix back onto it?

    Maybe Heraklith?
Or use standard insulation and screw through to the wall.

Plasterboard fixings have about 20kg shear load each (fixing dependant) so a bit of insulation backed PB should do the job, especially if taken down to the floor (to relieve the load on the insulation to wall fixing)

Of course it may help getting a good answer if we had a clue about the weight of the load to be fixed on the insulation !

You could sprag two studs, floor to ceiling, with a board across, and fix the meter to that, perhaps...
