Members may be interested in the WoodBuild 2018 Conference and Expo being hosted at Cardiff Metropolitan University on the 14th June, organised by Woodknowledge Wales, which will showcase with invited speakers from across the UK innovation with the use of timber. The Welsh Government's Assembly Member for Housing and Regeneration |Rebecca Evans, will launch the Powys CC Home Grown Homes project, that aims to spearhead the use of home grown timber for high performance and healthy homes from timber grown in the UK and Wales. See the exciting program here: http://woodknowledge.wales/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/WoodBUILD2018-Event-programme-20180529-1.pdf.

In summary the morning sessions will shed light on some of the emerging metrics for quality and explore the role of building performance evaluation (BPE). The afternoon session will provide real-world responses from leading practitioners. As always with Woodknowledge Wales events, ample time is allocated for discussion and debate.
Ultimately, by creating forums for the exploration and sharing of knowledge and ideas, Woodknowledge Wales hopes to inspire new added-value collaborations in the timber supply chain from the client to the forest.

Tickets can be booked here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/woodbuild-wales-2018-the-offsite-timber-revolution-tickets-42711199347

I/my employer do not gain financially from this conference or post, so sorry if anyone is offended.

Does the morning session consider quality in all forms of construction or only in timber construction?
