Looking to do something with my small Victorian terrace garden 6m x 8m at the rear.

The back wall is breeze block 2100mm high and currently painted masonry white. It's a North facing wall

I was thinking of a small aviary set say 600mm off the wall with maybe a few finches or lovebirds to bring a bit of colour and activity to the garden.

Does anyone keep birds here or can offer advice? I'd ideally like low maintenance as possible and something I could perhaps grow some hydrangea petiolaris on the back wall....

    Thanks in advance

I heard on the radio yesterday that there are a lot of birds that can/should no longer be kept in outside aviaries but only in indoor ones, because of the risks of bird flu. Sorry, don't know any more than that.
