Residual material left over from self-build - in builder's bulk bags, weighing approx 100kgs each.

Expanded glass bead aggregate for loose-fill insulation, limecrete and all types of floor screed - the non-combustible, green, permanent alternative to polystyrene (EPS) and polyurethane.

Proof against all rodents/insects etc. Expanded recycled glass beads 4-8mm in size, free-flowing loose-fill, pouring or blowing, even into awkward spaces, lightweight, non-absorbent. Ideal for filling voids under floor, around cable ducts etc or as an aggregate for insulated floor screeds. Suitable for use under suspended wooden floors above a DPC in Victorian buildings etc, livestock buildings and other insulated concrete floors.

High strength, high sound insulation performance, thermal conductivity W/(m-k) 0.066, environmentally friendly material. Insulation value does not degrade over time (10 years) or decay.

Identical to products such as Geocell, Poraver, Nebulight etc., similar to Leca and Lytag but with somewhat higher insulation performance.

In 'big bags' - capacity min 0.5 m3 per bag (100kgs per bag), 30 cubic metres available. Blower also available by separate negotiation.

Looking for £100/bag or make me an offer for quantities.

Forklift loading available or delivery possible, 2 - 10 bags per delivery. Please message with postcode for costs

			Thank you Peter
The sample arrived today many thanks
thinking about it as I had whisped my request to you
I suspect that while you had visited the site several times it was only when you had actually logged on ;
that you were shown my reply asking if I could possibly have a sample .

Most intresting '

the material is a glass based substance that presumsbly has similar properties and appearance to Leca appart from the color .and I believe to be lighter in weight .
Wish I had known about it before .

Had you thought about selling it as a hydroponic growing medium might well be better than Leca for that as the beads appear to be more uniform ?

Do the glass beads absorb water in the same way as clay ones?

As far as I know Hydroponics do not require the growing medium to actually absorb the fliud

It just perculates through the medium with the roots picking up fluid and oxygen as required.

The beads are very light I would not know they were glass without being told .
cheers Patrick

To answer the query concerning water absorption - from the spec sheet, it states there is a 15% by mass absorption after 24 hours - hope this helps.

There seems to be many and varied uses for the product - we just need someone who needs a significant quantity or many people needing smaller quantities in order to clear our site before we can get our drains connected as they are all stored over the required route of the trench!

Thanks
