Offers and wants: Anyone selling used tarps?

    We need heavy duty tarpaulins for our strawbale house build near Glasgow. I can find plenty online sources of new tarps but they're expensive. Does anyone have left-over tarps from their own build that they want to sell? I'm looking for 270g or heavier, ideally 3 x (4m x 20m). Lorry trailer side curtains would also be a good option.

    The main thing with tarps is to fully support them (with rigid boards etc) and to use plenty of rope etc over the top to strap them down. I don't think weight matters as much in that scenario. If they're not supported and tied down, they can flap and will get holes and rips. If they're not supported, they will fall into shapes that pool rainwater and it will drip (or pour) through the holes.

    270 g seems extremely heavy. I don't think we had anything anywhere close to that. We did have a tin roof over our scaffold, which was invaluable, but that still dripped so needed tarps on the straw as well.
