Ed Milliband back as Shadow Environment Sec - the most clued up one we ever had.

Edit - ah, no, that's business, energy and industrial secretary.

Good to see Labour turning a fresh page over and getting in someone with new ideas
From your title I assumed you meant Ed Davies back on GBF!

He's over in the other place (the other other place) with most of the GBF alumni. Very few come back from there ...

Yes, I assumed the title meant Ed Davies too! You are right that many have left here for the Other Other Place and don't come back. I think it's a pity. There's room for both. What we need is a mega-topic like M*****oil! That'll bring them flooding back!
the other place and the other other place?

glad Milliband's back anyway. our current lower grid CO2 intensity has something to do with him and

Yeah. Good news. Milliband gets it. What we need is more conservatives with some climate (and building) clue.

Milliband might get it depending on which one  but isn't Labour still the same old same old? They had the chance to elect a woman leader yet despite two of the three being that they went for the middle aged, white lawyer.

The new man made a big thing about routing out antisemitism yet the first thing has been to go after who leaked a report on the subject that was not to the leaderships liking.

The new man made the usual comment on 'a new type of politics' yet it seems after a couple of weeks we are back to the usual mindless politics of negative first, criticise second, have no alternative third.

I am afraid labour are still as irrelevant in UK politics as they have been for the last 10.

He's over in the other place…

Funnily, I looked in here today for the first time in ages and naturally this title caught my eye first.

To be honest, I'm not anywhere at the moment. I've long been kicked off the N place for not being sufficiently obsequious to the mods.

I'll admit I got a bit fed up with GBF as there seemed to be a lot of projects which weren't particularly green beyond trying to save a few bob on the heating bills. At the same time, I wanted to ask general building questions which weren't specifically related to greenness, which I felt a bit uncomfortable doing as it would tend to push things further in that direction, so I tried BH. Wealth of knowledge there, too, but also a handful of fairly prominent members who I found a bit difficult to stomach politically so I haven't been there for a month or so.
