After insulating my refurbed bathroom, I am left with a few bin bags of small PIR offcuts. What do I do with them? Can they be recycled?

Not sure about PIR but our recycling centre takes loft insulation.

Be careful to use a car not a van as they have been known to ban people they think are dropping off business/builders waste.

Not easily recycled so it's landfill or reuse - there are loads of opportunities to use it to save a bit of energy here and there...

Lift the loft insulation take bits of the same thickness and adhock foam them together between the rafters then put the loft insulation back but a bit thicker.

If you're putting down any loft flooring and not building up the rafters it's an opportunity to get a better k value in the limited thickness underneath the loft floor.

Insulate back and/or front of loft hatch.

    Hot water tank.

    freecycle.

If you turn up in a van or with a trailer our recycling centre will give you a waiver upon production of a Council Tax bill to prove that you are a resident.
  2.
Try freegling it or putting on gumtree, marketplace. Even if someone uses some of it, its better than going in landfill.
