I know I'm a fairly new member to this neck of the woods, but considering this is a paid for forum, the functionality provided is pretty limited and there are quite a number of peculiarities in how it works.

Forum technology has moved on a long way. How does the question as to whether this forum deserves a refresh and update land with the general populous and admins?

We're lucky that Keith still keeps it going, after all these years, certainly more of a burden than a benefit to him. More to the point, maybe the community should be thinking of taking it off his shoulders somehow. Or else, are forums a dying breed that will expire at the same time as its once-youthful stalwarts?

I think F-T is right, and I am sure it is a burden on Keith. I have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever on the computer front, but do have an interest (partly sentimental) in keeping GBF going, so if Keith were to be interested in some sort of management group I would look to being involved.

Good comments, and good to know a bit more of the background.

I value this forum and would also put myself forwards if there was an interest in a management group to distribute the burden.

If ever any help needed, I would be interested in helping.

I still love this forum and kudos to Keith, as others said it is probably more a burden than benefit. I’d happily pay again to help its upkeep
