But I could. I control it using a script run by a cron job because I just want timed activation. And use a similar script to read the energy data from it. It would be simple enough to control the script from some measurement that determined if I was exporting. I just use basic scripts and stuff (shell, python or perl) but others use things like NodeRed or IFTTT etc.

Thanks - It's one of those things that just grows into a home automation project with various other electronic gubbins which is why I chose the optiplugs (they just work in minutes with the Whatson PV energy monitor). I might have to bite the bullet at some point but I've got enough projects at the moment without learning to code.]]>
