  1.
My business unit is split into 2 sections with a GF Office space with concrete ceiling and a second floor above it (kitchen and smaller office). Then a storage area which is separated from the ground floor office with a basic timber and plasterboard stud wall.

I'd like to open this area up into 1/2 of the storage area and build a mezzanine above to still maintain storage (8m ceilings)

The floor appears to be a concrete floor, would block in flat be sufficient for the new wall and then appropriate timbers?

Or can anyone recommend a company that would supply steps or similar system?
  2.
    Is it rented or owned?
If rented you will probably need the landlord permission who will probably need professional drawings and approved builders etc.

Not quire clear on that, but you're hoping to store items on the mezzanine, with the load carried via a wall to an existing intermediate floor slab? If so then I'd suggest getting a structural engineer involved - you need to be certain that the existing floor can safely carry the load.

Rented, but they will allow it so long as in writing etc

I'll speak to an SE I use and get his thoughts

From what I can read is the 2.5kn/m2 is required storage

Where can I find a span table for timber to achieve these amounts?

It needs to be calculated depending on what you're going to store. 2.5kN would almost certainly be inadequate if you were storing paper (2m³ paper / m² would be around 2.5kN, with no allowance for dynamic loads), but fine for polystyrene...
