I have fitted woodfibre batts between joists as detailed in the plans. I am supposed be installing 50mm PIR below but now wondering if I can replace with woodfibre boards or similar? I am being swayed by the eco credentials of the woodfibre, fire safety and the fact that it is just nicer to work with a natural material. It is a pitched roof so I can probably afford the space but not sure on the buildup and how to attach the required thickness of woodfibre?

Also should I fill all of the eaves space with insulation? I am a bit worried about blocking the ventilation path under the membrane (although Proclima say the full space under the membrane can be filled with insulation).

I would go PIR, I would leave space between the insulation and membrane

I like the 3g roof window.

You have a thermal bridge down through the outside skin above the steel beam
