    Hi, I am new here.
I have had my wood boiler/range system heating CH & DHW for about 6 years. I have a thermal store.

increasingly more often the loading valve ESBE ltc 200 cycles on and off (I assume it is the pump I can hear), in a manner that I believe to be a servicing option, manually activated by turning the adjuster the opposite direction to normal. I am not turning the knob, but do wonder if it has somehow got turned. I have lost the manual and cannot find ltc200 on Ebse site.

The loading valve pump is activated by a flue stat, which I can adjust.

I have struggled to get an engineer out for several years and am wondering if any one here knows about loading valves and can help me work it out?

    Thanks,
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
I assume your loading valve is part of a log boiler/accumulator tank set up.
My load valve similar to ESBE is activated by switching on the boiler when I do a batch burn, indeed it's hard wired to the boiler. So boiler off, load valve can't operate.
Do you have other CH or system controls in close proximity that you may be hearing?

I crawled in there, and tried turning the knob the other way. It has stopped so far! I cannot understand how it could have been set the wrong way, but relieved if it is sorted.

Thanks very much for replying. It is log boiler and thermal store. Activated by the flue temperature being above whatever I set it to. Boiler off, flue temperature drops, Loading valve goes off.

It was definitely loading valve I could hear because when I turned it off, the noise stopped.

If you see note above, I am hoping I have sorted that part of the issue (I have another issue, which I will post separately when I have some time!)
