I am trying to find interesting wood cast offs to clad a workshop - driftwood? cedar bark / edged planks?
something like that. Anyone got anything lying around or know where to go? Thanks:bigsmile:

Where are you? A sawmill near me that sells larch cladding has piles of offcuts, about 250-300mm wide, 3m long, 50mm thick at the thickest bit, bark on one side, flat sawn surface on the other. I've got a little shed that a previous owner of the house built that's clad in them. I believe they sell them for firewood price. Is there a sawmill near you?

No, an extremely long way - I'm in West Wales. But there's got to be somewhere in Kent or Sussex that would do that kind of thing?

It's about half an hour south of there. Go south to Cardigan and on towards Newport; turn left towards Haverfordwest just past Eglwyswrw; up over the mountain and right at New Inn towards Fishguard, and it's just along there. I'll try and find a phone number though; you should maybe ring them first to check.
