    Any suggestion on water butts?

Where from, what size etc etc?

I would require one at the rear garden and one at the side to service the front garden.

Is the 210 litre set up sufficient for most use? I have square downpipes if that makes a difference

Over here the 'standard' water butt is the ubiquitous 1000 ltr IBC tanks fairly cheap but need covering as the plastic is not UV stable. But then IMO any water butt to be of any useful size is an eye sore unless it is underground.

The problem with 210 ltr if you are going to us it for watering the garden (or much else outside) is that 210 lts is not much water and will probably run out after a week - 10 days of no rain or a couple of car washes (if you wash your car !!) but then I suppose anything is better than nothing. Oh and you will need a pump unless you plan on carrying the water to point of use.

Agree - 2000 litres = 2 tonnes of water! We have two of em at the top of the slope and Geka-coupled 3/4" hoses, enough storage for the poly and veg beds except for the hottest driest month (if any!) of the summer. Adding two more to the tank farm woulkd see us through entirely.

Victorianeco's front garden is 30m2 and the back garden is 60m2 (from other thread) so
