Is anybody aware of any ready-to-use dynamic demand equipment suitable for use in a house? That is, something that will turn my heating on and off and minimise the costs,or ideally pay me for network balancing services?

I imagine I might be able to cobble something together using the Agile tariff or somesuch, but I'd prefer something more ready-to-use and ideally cheap.

Do you mean a program that will track and exploit low-tariff periods, while intelligently anticipating top-ups at not-so-low tariff sufficient to see you through the fluctuations of 'off' periods, all at minimum cost for the seasonal conditions?
  1.
Some stuff on 'Demand Side Response' (DSR) systems as part of a trial here:

Sort of. But preferably avoiding using power devices during not-so-low periods as well, and ideally with access to balancing services and the associated money.

Well, yes, a 10-year old puff piece. But does anybody know of anything that's real today?
