I can’t post pics, please download and post this one for me. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mpr1e9emsj74pa062rw83/IMG_1515.HEIC?rlkey=jxay1jb7ecr8972m01c7mvww4&st=alp18uky&dl=0

In children’s bedroom, private rented, landlord unconcerned and not acting

Void or flat roof? Mould pattern suggests (a) no insulation and (b) poor ventilation in the room, but you know that! I wonder also if there is insufficient ventilation in the roof void, making the plasterboard more moist (and 'receptive to mould') than usual.

Looks like developing on the space between the rafters and as Nick states suggesting no insulation and no ventilation. Room not heated sufficiently? a lot of moisture in the air we breath out in a bedroom and being closed up no general air movement. Check if there are vents in the soffits.

Sloping ceiling, poorly insulated and some missing. Possibly a row of original built in noggins blocking ventilation

Surely flat ceiling (or so it appears from the pic) but pitched roof with a void??

Look at the dark triangle on the right hand side. If that is square then the ceiling is clearly at an angle.

Does the property have a current epc? Does it meet the current standard? ( if the tenant has been there long enough it may not have/need a current epc).
Has the tenant documented a reasonable number of contacts with the landlord/agent about the issue?
Has there been any response from landlord/ agent?
Is the room being ventilated and heated appropriately?
Is the property appropriately occupied ( ie not overcrowded)?

If all the above has been covered then best thing is to contact the private sector housing department at their local council.
