			<![CDATA[if you have employees (6 desks?) then your choice of product will need to meet various HSE criteria such as Display Screen Equipment (DSE regs) amongst other things. I wonder if the carbon footprint of designing, sourcing, testing to ensure compliance etc wouldn't be more than just buying something that has already gone through that extensive process - put your time and effort into your day job - of course having tried to find an "ethical supplier". Just a thought...]]>

			<![CDATA[We have this approach in my office - make sure you seal it with a lacquer and get a decent appearance to the timber as it comes in different grades. <br /><br />If it helps, this is what I think we specified years ago: "Grade BB Birch-Faced ply with sprayed acid-catalysed lacquer"<br /><br />Also worth getting slightly chamfered edges to avoid clothing etc. catching on the easily-splintered finished edges.]]>
