Rawington turned up with a perfectly decent window at a very good price. It's engineered pine with alu-cladding, achieving a U-value of 1.3. The only thing I would wonder about is the finger joints on the interior surface - they're seamless, but obviously the change in grain makes them visible. For a little extra they can add a veneer surface to hide that. I too just got a quote from them which seemed pretty reasonable (less than half of the price quoted by Velfac).
