General: log burner/back boiler

    Hi all im new on here anyway here goes, im after a log burner/back boiler to heat my above ground swimming/paddling pool i know you can get them of ebay but they are about 400 quid for a new one. Im only after anything that works as it will only be on the back lawn, so if any of you could suggest anywhere to go and find one i would be gratefull or if you know where there is one that would be even better.The reason is because last year it took me 12 hrs to heat the pool using a 3kw pool heater and two kettles so i don,t want to go through that this year so i thought about piping a log burner with back burner to it instead of using all the elctric and time for myself.Anyway if you could help let us know thanks.

    leave it at natural temperature?.. a greener option

    you clearly have not operated a log burner before because time is not forthcoming when you have to chop the necessary number of logs.
    also surely there is a total contradiction between having an interest in green building and having such an obvious waste of energy on your lawn.
    a number of solutions:
    buy a wetsuit.
    make a homemade passive solar array out of old radiators and a small pump.

    now come on you damn hippy's give this guy a break hes trying to use less electricity and use an alternative source of heat and all you can do is mock him for having a swimming pool are you jealous??? we don't all like to wash in cold rivers and live in trees Swampy. I applaud you most people with enough money to have a pool don't give two shits how much energy they waste because they can afford it ! but im sorry i cannot help you im looking into a similar thing but to integrate into an existing boiler system at minimal cost !!!!!!!!
