    In an earth sheltered house with a south facing an unheated glazed buffer space to the front, built to the highest possible energy standards, would it be at all sensible to consider ASHP for top up heat and DHW, particularly if you were sucking in the air through the sun space where one would hope it would be preheated...?

    Maybe ASHP and GSHP topics automatically get modded down by 1 point! Maybe we need a system like slashdot (http://slashdot.org) where people are assigned moderator status randomly for a day - and then others get to meta-moderate the moderators. (Not that I have time to read /. anymore ).
