			<![CDATA[Hi,<br /><br />i looked at log boilers a while back and decided against it when all in all it would have cost damn near 8k.  I went oil combi instead.<br /><br />but want to look at it again.  Can I use the log boiler set up without an accumulator tank and somehow get it to plumbing into how water heating supply?  That way in the winter I can fill up and leave it and oil can kick in if neccessary?  The boilers aren't too bad its all the other stuff that ratchets up the price and neither do I want to be firing more than once a day max in the winter.]]>

			<![CDATA[The trouble is logwood boilers, once fired up, are relatively uncontrollable, hence the need for the buffer, ie accumulator, to absorb all that energy.  Try looking up "Dunsley neutraliser",- there may be others;- a device for linking two systems, ie. solid fuel to oil or gas. I'm not familiar with their effectiveness or if they would suit your needs.<br /><br />  Mike]]>

The panel will ensure that all the energy produced by the SF boiler is distributed to DHW and then the radiators only calling on the oil boiler to top up when required, it is fully automatic.
