    Hi
I am trying to work out the size of expansion vessel I need. I already have a pressurized central heating system with its own 20l expansion vessel running at 1 1/2bar. I am planning to install a 20kW pellet boiler and a 2000l accumulator tank. Total volume calculated = boiler 117l, pipework 3.75l + tank = 2121l is a 4%/85l expansion vessel sufficient and what pressure should it be set to?
Any info would be of great help

    Hi Vespar
I am not an expert but with that size store I think you may need a vessel nearer to 200 litres. This is based on advice I was given for a similar sized system. Do you have any figures for the boiler? Eg operating pressure - the store / accumulator can be specified when you have this figure.
Lots of useful stuff here if you've not already found it (take a few days holiday and read through....)
