    Can we suggest a set up?

    For my mate -- likely mostly holiday lets

    Budget? Size? Number of occupants/rooms? Flat or sloping site? Which directions are 'open'? Views? Shelter or shading?

    If it's holiday lets, should we not worry about absolute performance in winter?

    Should they be 'clearly eco', or look and behave like normal houses?

    I know how you love internal insulation so you probably don't need me to mention it :).... it will give a quick response to heating -ideal for holiday home?

    it isnt mine -- timber frame low mass -- shaded location 4/6 people occasionally/ 4/5 rooms/ south facing but shaded in winter -- likely mostly unoccupied in winter budget is there but not unlimited.
