Offers and wants: FREE approx 35/40 metres of Airflex Pro Ducting
Having installed a MHRV ststem from Airflow I have some of the ducting left over. It comes in 50 metre lengths and I needed just the begining of this roll. It is now taking up space in my shed and needs a new home. The link below is details of the ducting. Must be collected from Twickenham.
I did install it with help from my mum! It is very easy and straight forward to fit. The guys at Airflow designed the system from floor plans and disscussions with me. I'm not sure if you can get the equipment other than direct from them but my system with 6 extract and 6 inlets over 3 floors was £2500 with vat at 15%. We didn't have the most efficient unit - the budget didn't stretch that far but I thought that something was better than nothing.
It's smooth on the inside and quite easy to join to extract/inlet points. A washer that fits into the corrugations ensures a tight fit at each end. A little bit of swearing involved when you are trying to connect 6 pipes into the plenum boxes!
I used Airflex pro ducting on my MHRV system - really easy to install as it's flexible and requires no jointing. I considered that there may be a disadvantage to the smaller diameter but the fact that it takes up less room and has zero air loss (compared to a jointed system) more than makes up for it.
All good electrical retailers will get it for you - I used CEF but Jewsons did it too I think.
I also have some left over - due to some miscalculation on my part, I have a whole unused 50m roll. I am in South Manchester. If you want to make me a reasonable offer for the roll, let me know. I can also offer advice about its use.
BTW I've got 10 way plenum boxes and yes a serious amount of swearing was to be heard when trying to shove all the pipes into the boxes... Great stuff though.
