General: I keep getting logged out!

    Is it my settings, or has something changed since The Day the Forum Stood Still?

    Before, I annoyingly had to log in again, every time I closed and re-opened GBF (AFAIK others didn't).

    Now, I get automatically logged out every 5-10mins, which I only discover on Reload (Ffox), or on Adding my Comment, like this is the second time I've typed this, because first time it was lost when GBF went back to the other-format page inviting me to Log in. Grrr.

    Did you click the little "remember me" box last time you logged in? Sometimes I do log out and then forget to re-check that box.

    I get logged out if/when my IP address changes, irregardless of whether I click the "remember me" button. Same thing if I update my browser (it's all related to how the cookies work).

    It's used not to; now, it seems it does - complete cure for my above complaints - so far. Thanks Keith, whatever you did.

    "Remember me" never works for me.
    Also it always takes exactly 3 tries before it will log in. It must be a sort of cultural convention, like offering second helpings to an Indian guest. Only the English greedily say "yes please" on the first offering.
