I've just spent half an hour pulling expanding foam out of my hair after a day sealing the roof. I would be very happy for a bit of help next weekend (17th or 18th), if anyone fancies it. I'll be bringing a picnic lunch and happy to talk about the build so far.

The builders are trying but haven't really got the airtightness idea. My job is to seal and insulate. Also have lots of land drain 100 and 160mm, rebar - slightly rusty so perhaps no good - and a steel beam (!) spare.

Near Huddersfield/ Halifax in West Yorks.
http://robinbuildsanest.blogspot.com hope to update it soon -

The roof has Kingspan TP10 over the rafters already in place and is getting Knauf space blanket between the rafters. Incidentally I stuck the first 4 rolls on silver side down but not sure now if that was for the best, anyone know?
    thanks

The silver side will only reflect heat if it has an air gap next to it, so I'm not sure in your case, as I don't think you will have an air gap on either side. If this is the case, I don't suppose it will make any difference. Looks lovely, good luck with the rest of the build, Brian.

Forgot to say tony's tip for not getting it in your hair -- wear a hat!
