Is there an alternative to the Teplo wall tie for waide cavities? I'm uncomforatble with the idea of only one option. I have found reference to Refus wall ties but cannot trace their source.

I know there are stainless two part ties but they sort of defeat the objective of a well insulated wall when you lose 50mm around the house to compensate for the heat loss.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

Refus polyester walls ties as used at Stamford Brook and elsewhere were available from Borring Plast in Denmark - see http://www.borringplast.dk/REFUS_Murbindere_964.asp - previously these were obtained from KG Kristiansen

I have heard of a company called Coughlan Engineering in ireland supplying a Glass fibre reinforced wall ties for 200mm cavities. Appear to have certification for them in place. Might be worth a look.
