or you can search our database - we invite people to feedback on their installer, so that others can make a more informed decision. They have to score them against five criteria, and can add extra comments. http://www.yougen.co.uk/search/ and if you do find one, please go back and rate them afterwards.

Anyone you can recommend that covers Kent - long established or very good? I've had a look at yougen but there are too many - most with very few recommendations. Ethical Solar don't appear to cover Kent, according to their website.
My other thought is, given the busy-ness of installers right now, the lack of available materials until the rush is over on 12 December, and given we need to submit our new build VAT application by the end of January, is it worth buying all the materials from Germany, and finding an MCS installer who can fit in early January?
Many thanks

 Caspen - probably!
I've spoken to a few PV installers who's work has almost completely evaporated after the 12th. There must be MCS installers who would do an install only rather than not work. Make sure all the bits from Germany are MCS compliant.

Billy-J,
sorry to hear that you can't get permission for a turbine. Can't trust the Planners; when I applied for a turbine they tried to get me to do PV instead as they "preferred the less intrusive technology". I got permission for a turbine anyway, now they tell my neighbours that PV is too intrusive. I weep for the children of tomorrow!
