    I just got a letter through - I haven't got PP - they are imposing a condition

They want a footpath through someone's garden - that is not going to happen

I thought if it got voted through at a committee meeting it was passed - I am so upset

That seems a bit odd. You can Appeal against an unreasonable condition though. You need some clarification of why they would require that.

Or, an easier way is to apply for permission to remove the condition, or vary the condition. If it comes to an appeal see: http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/england/genpub/en/1018892034984.html

You need to find out why the condition has been added it may have been a highways requirement.

Ask the planners to see their internal files which should show the responses from all the consulted parties.
    These might explain why.

At the meeting they asked if I could put a gate at the exisiting entrance (the one Highways say I can't use)for pedestrains which is no problem & Architect & I had already planned for one

In the letter they are asking for a chunk of someones garden - it is bizarre - no mention of it was made at the planning meeting

I was so pissed off I cheated

I just popped into the Local Shop for some sweeties and X (Mr Y's son) said "Bet you're pleased about the nursery?"
I said "Well not really - I think it's off"
"Why? the planning committee were all for it"
"Well they want ABC's garden & I can't even ask him - he has been so generous about the field"

"what do you mean? Hang on I'll get my dad......"

Anyway Mr Y(on planning committee) looked at the letter & got his agenda out

"That's not what I asked for.....I wanted a gate where the entrance is now"

Long conversation - but basically he took a copy of the letter and he isn't very happy - he will be ringing Mr Z(at planning) on Monday am. This is not what the committee intended (apparently)

That's not cheating. It's being sensible. Buying sweeties, I mean. Obviously.

Oh, and good luck for Monday. I hope Mr Y sorts it all out.
