Has anyone calculated a thermal resistance for insulated i-beams eg Steico i-beams? This is needed to calculate the U-value for an insulated stud wall constructed with these beams.

I'm having a go now using BuildDesk, but I'd be interested to compare results/method). I will post my results.

I have calculated an R value of 1.95 m^2K/W. I can now use this in U-value calculation for the walls.
    Details below:
I-beam with 45mm square softwood flanges, 90mm separation of the flanges with OSB web (K value of OSB =0.18 multiplied by 2.2 to account for orientation). Web embedded into flanges by 15mm at each end (guess). Insulation material either side of web based on Steico thermal flex (I would imagine this material is in fact more dense and has slight less favourable properties).

I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with the K (kappa) value for this construction - any ideas?
