I'm planning to renovate my integral garage and incorporate it more into the house living area. I discovered that the single south facing exterior garage cavity wall was not filled, although the rest of the house walls are. With a door and a window already in that wall there isn't too much wall to speak of about 6m2 of bits here and there. I don't think it is worth calling out a specialist company for such a small ammout of wall, anyone got any bright ideas, or isn't it worth bothering about. I guess a dozen cans of expanding foam may be one idea. The inner leaf is thermalite and I'm planning to either dot and dab, or plaster it.
Mike

There is a distinct risk that it will self destruct if the foam expands it could push the masonry over. I would make holes at the top or take off some tiles to expose the top of the cavity and pour in polystyrene beads.
