I have the above space for PV panels which with an A frame could be used quite efficiently as its WsW facing
I know little about PV, but having researched it somewhat on t'web, am now even more confused.
Most of the renewable energy companies advertising want to get inside the front door (shades of Anglian windows tele canvassing) so I'm dubious about their claims.
Can anyone recommend an honest company that would install a reliable and cost effective system that will actually do what they say, or am I looking for the holy grail?
Even considered Tesco as they are now offering it (probably through a third party like their plastic windows and doors).
    I'm in East Yorkshire.
    Thanks Guys
    Andy

...bit of an afterthought, what the hell would I do with 29,000 club card points anyway....

Hello Andy, firstly - go for it.

I've just signed up after 3 weeks of checking every little bit of info I could find and asking for lots of help and advice on these forums. In the end completely failed to find any negatives or hidden tricks, despite starting off very sceptical of 10% net returns.

The system I've gone for is ESE so similar efficiencies to your roof. And if the projected output is correct I'm looking at about a 13% return.

Aim for around £3 to £3.5 per watt on a system of about 2KW all in.

Trawl the websites, I ended up going for one of those sites that forward your details on to a number of companies, that way you get lots of advice, quotes and they already know you are comparing prices so less embarrassing if like me you're not a born haggler.

I also got a phone quote from Tesco and arranged a visit but cancelled the day before as I received a letter with T&C's that I had to read and sign and hand to the assesser before they could carry out the revue. Wasn't willing to spend up to an hour reading the T&Cs or signing anything at that stage. Plus their phone quote was very reasonable, but slightly higher than two I'd already received.

Best of luck. Give us a shout if you want to know more about my last two weeks as it sounds like you are in exactly the same situation I was in.

    Martyn.
