Hook Norton Low Carbon is having an open homes day to show off some of the projects supported by the LCCC/DECC funding and other "Green" homes in this rural Oxfordshire village.

The day features Hare Cottage Barn, which I've written about extensively on the forum, and also TV Green Architect, Charlie Luxton's own Old Home Superhome project, though to avoid disappointing the ladies, Charlie wont be at home on the day. Technologies from Solar PV, to double glazing, home automation to Hemcrete will be on show.

Full details are slowly going onto the HNLC website www.hn-lc.org.uk

Good news for the ladies... Charlie Luxton will be with us on Sunday. We now have eight houses on show at different times of day. Come to the information point for full details. All properties are within walking distance, and if it all gets too much, there are three excellent pubs, serving the Hook Norton Ales that are brewed in the village.

Thanks to everyone who came out on what was a slightly unpredictable day weather wise. Hope everyone found their way around as we ran out of maps. I expected a lot of interest in PV, but the main interest was in wall insulation, which was quite gratifying.
