I also notice that if you are professional visitor you can get an invitation code? Any idea where you get one from in the UK and what it entitles you to? Reduction in admission cost?

I went mainly for inspiration - a high percentage of new houses in Belgium are self builds or at least built for a specific first owner. Quality of everything seemed pretty high. If you know what you want you can buy or order stuff at the show and many Belgians take their plans with them for that purpose. When I went things like german made wood burners were cheaper than in the UK but I've no idea how/if they deliver. Saw some fantastic oak doors that wouldn't look out of place on a church but at a price.

Can't really help with a hotel but the exhibition is reasonably easy to get to on the tube. I used to cross Brussels from the east to get to it. It's not far from the Atomium.

For info when I went there were "Professional days" and "Public days". On professional days only building professionals are meant to be allowed in. Check which days of the week you were going! The Public days were fairly busy but wern't impossibly so. This is 5 years ago now so things may have changed.]]>
