Can't see what is special about this offer. Best thing is to determine what you want and then get three quotes for the supply, fit and commissioning.

To qualify for the current govt grant, don't you have to be off the gas grid? And I suspect that the RHI t&c may also include this restriction - so 'not every owner of a qualifying system' may get the RHI (perhaps their qualifier is in the 'qualifying' - which I first took to mean MCS)

Joiner , DIY it , cheaper all round ,

forget potential doubtful future solar thermal grant and the higher install cost that have to come with registered installers.

Solar thermal £300 payment was/is regardless of gas grid, IIRC.

It came in one of the regular junk-mail drops, so the whole lane has had them. A neighbour walking his dog asked for my opinion because "you know a thing or two about this sort of thing, don't you?"

'No, but I know a lot of people who do and I'll ask them.'

    The rest is history.

Spending time on here tends to make you overly suspicious.
  2.
I have just been quoted for a solar panel array by a local company but I am very unsure whether the information is valid - it seems too good to me. I have a 1950s semi with two roofs one facing SSE and a hip roof facing WSW, six panels on each. Both roofs seem to be at an optimal angle. The company say they can instal a chinese panel 3kW system that will give us a total annual return of £821.49, which is even bigger than my original calculation. Any thoughts? You see, I'm already suspicious and I've just started!
  3.
Even diluting my usual pessimism a bit, and assuming say an average of 800kWh/kWp p.a. over the 2 orientations, at 21p/3.1p I can't get better than £721.20, including assuming that your 50% used at home is displacing elec @ 15p.Does this help?

Thank you very much Nick, this does help

Check what PVGIS has to say about how much power it will generate. You will have to do the two aspects separately. IME it's accurate and slightly conservative.

Just has a look at the link that Joiner posted up.
So they are offering a ST system.
    Now what is the question?
Can it deliver up to 70% of your DHW energy needs. Depends how you measure it I think.
  6.
Perhaps you could type " Simplee Solar" or "Simplee Solar complaints" into your search engine.

Company fined £40K by trading standards in Bournemouth, also part of a watchdog programme.

Was rebranded as Staywarm and now rebranded as Energy Conservation Group. Same address near Ringwood.

They work nationally with fleets of commission driven sales-liars, very expensive and will probably rebrand again in near future to dump all liabilities.

    Downside just got worse ...........

The Energy Conservation Group made mass redundancies on Friday 3rd August and IMO will start up with a new company name and shed another load of warranties and other responsibilities by dumping this one.

Can someone go after the directors personally (eg start proceedings against them as unfit, or trading while knowingly insolvent) to make it hard for them to hide behind the corporate veil in future?
