    I'm just starting to lay out electrical sockets and light switches. I assume chasing into blockwork when you're using the internal plaster as the air barrier is a no-no.

    At least in our new extension but would we be better to plaster the blockwork for an air barrier and then add a batten + plasterboard to create a service zone?

    With wet plaster you should page behind socket boxes and seal caping both ends or not use caping at all.
