    As both the energy and carbon emission levels have now been set so high for "zero carbon homes"it has now become very easy to be carbon negative simply by using less than the allowance:( This brings in a new era of carbon negativity which is a good thing to be for some now. it was not so long ago that I was asking "us how low can we go?" now it will be "how negative are you?" Bringing with it a whole new lovely positive meaning to the word negative !

    Great theory but, as the air tightness fails and therefore insulation value lessens as it inevitably will the house won't be so carbon negative. It will still be more about what you do and lifestyle in my opinion.

    Too true, if you had a house that sucked in CO2 our national energy use (the major part of our lifestyle) would still be high.
